Evaluations

Psychological:

A psychological evaluation includes formal or structured psychological tests; interviews and collecting of information with the goal of identification and description of behavioral status, strengths, and areas of concern. The tools used to conduct a psychological evaluation include assessments that may be written or given orally. Some assessments or interviews may be administered via a computer or via telehealth / web video conferencing. Evaluations typically require 2 or 3 sessions.


Autism:

An autism evaluation includes formal or structured psychological tests; with assessments developed to assess for autism and and collecting of information with the goal of identification and description of behavioral status, strengths, and areas of concern. The tools used to conduct an autism evaluation include assessments that may be written or given orally, or that may be administered via a computer, as well as assessments involving direct observation and interaction with the client. Some interview based assessments may be administered via telehealth / web video-conferencing. Evaluations typically require 2 or 3 sessions.


Consultations:

Consultations are based on client needs centering on behavior. Consultation is offered for behaviors based in problem contingencies resulting in challenging behaviors, and possibly the need for a behavior support and/or intervention plan. Parent / caregiver instruction and coaching is offered to assist with behavior change and implementation of behavior support and intervention plans. Consultation typically begins with a thorough interview and functional behavior assessment. The initial information gathering typically requires 1 to 2 one hour sessions and plan development may require and additional 2 to 4 sessions/hours.
